PSU Quick Picks
Pick a power supply in three steps, then choose from units we trust.
Work out your wattage
Start with your GPU maker's recommended PSU size, then add 100–200W of headroom. Rough guide below. PCPartPicker will also estimate it for a full parts list.
Check the quality
A cheap PSU can take other parts with it when it fails. Check community tier lists like the SPL PSU Tier List or efficiency testing at Cybenetics. Spend more for high-end builds.
Match connectors and size
Newer NVIDIA cards use a 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) plug — a PSU with a native cable is cleaner than an adapter. Small cases need an SFX unit. Fully modular PSUs make cable management much easier.
| Graphics card | Suggested PSU |

| RX 9070 · RX 9070 XT · RTX 5070 Ti | 750–850W |
